Arsenal make Arteta move

Arsenal have, according to the Mirror, tested Everton's resolve to keep hold of Mikel Arteta by lodging a £10m today in an effort to pry the Spaniard away from Goodison Park.

Over the at BBC Sport online, Phil McNulty suggests that he is hearing that a deal could be a possibility between the clubs before the 11pm deadline.
