Barkley speculation persists

Another Sunday, another story linking Ross Barkley with a big-money move away from Goodison Park in January, only now the price tag has risen to £30m.

According to the Daily Mail, the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea are in the race to land the 17year-old and Barcelona and Real Madrid are also in the mix.

It all sounds a bit sensationalist (from the tabloids? Never!) for a player who has completed only one first match for the Blues so far.

Where does the Mail get this nonsense from? Or do they make it up on the grounds that if printed, it may one day come true? I am sick and tired of the way the clubs with money continue to bully their way around. I would suggest that Chelsea, Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and maybe one or two others form their own private league and let the rest of us continue playing on a relatively level playing field. The English Premier League is now a joke. The longer things stay as they are, the more crap will be written by ignorant tabloid journalists.
