Distin wants two more years

Sylvain Distin is holding out for a two-year deal rather than the one-year option currently on the table according to the Daily Mail.

The 33-year-old defender has 12 months left on his current deal.

Give him the two-year deal, definitely. Yes, he's 33, but he's still one of the fastest central defenders in the Prem... never misses a game... rarely makes a mistake... and most of all provides the solid cover that allows Baines to range forward without fear of what he's leaving open behind him. In fact Distin, not Baines, was my player of the year last year. He deserves two years.

He's definitely deserves it - assuming he's not asking for silly cash.

no brainer for me, centre halves who look after themselves easily last to late 30's and he looks as good as he ever has.

Lets hope this doesn't drag onto January where we end up losing him for nothing....
