Reading between the lines any possibility of Jamie McFadden returning to Everton has to be very remote, with the player's representatives having been locked in talks with Celtic over the past month, and a deal waiting onthe table at Wolves. The link with Everton is "emotional", which likely means nothing at all.

However, according to an anonymous "Sportsmail Reporter", the Daily Mail claim that David Moyes has confirmed he is trying to get the injured striker back to Goodison Park. McFadden has been out for over a year with cruciate ligament damage.

If he's injured then Moyes will want him the same as he played an injured Cahill in the Derby. The same as taking Gardner injured on loan from Spurs . I watched an injured Yobo limp onto the pitch at the start of a game. Hibbert was played injured in the Cup Final. Moyes would rather put his faith in an injured player than someone he doesn't trust.

It's happened season after season but all you Moyes fans will not agree. Oh by the way where is Ross Barkley ? Wasn't he a better bet than an injured Cahill? But he made a mistake in the Blackburn game so must be punished. Just as well Neville and Jags don't get the same code of perfection judged on them. As for Moyes going to a bigger club , laugh out loud as they say in the world of text . No one in nine years have tried to prise him away from his safe little well paid job at Goodison.

Jimmy, it would be a sign of panic from Moyes if he was to take McFadden back.
