Everton are thought to be interested in signing Celtic's teenage defender Adam Matthews and could make official bids in January.

The 19-year-old Wales international moved to Celtic from Cardiff in the summer and has begun his career with the Scottish giants in impressive style.

Brian - mine was sarcasm too - never seems to come out definitively when typed. Don't care if they are defenders or attackers - let's just keep collecting them - I am sure that if it worked for man U all those years ago, it can work for us too - if not, we sell them on. Was it Ian "Twat" Hanson that said about them that you can't win anything with kids? Ooooooops

I think more of the younger lads would be a great addition to our team. Yes we have jags, distan, nev but in the same breath 2 of them 3 are let's be honest in the twilight of there carears. Sir Alex has done it at man u. I also think we are going to be lucky to have tim Cahill much longer, not coz someone will come in for him but because of injury and tiredness. Now he will be obe we struggle to replace.
