Out of nothing, Johnny is going to Roma?

Roma are thought by the Daily Mail to be mulling over a move for Johnny Heitinga after Nicolas Burdisso was ruled out for the season. However, the Holland defender's agent Fabio Parisi said: 'It's an option. We've had no contact with Roma, not even informal.' In other words... they made it up.

If Moyes ( who signed him ) isn't going to play him on a regular basis, well get rid. He's earning a shit load for nothing, Johnny H that is... Moyeses shit load of money however, is another thread.

I hope Bily and Johnny H both wangle their own moves this Jan.

Bily never was nor ever will be a Prem / Everton player. Johnny on the otherhand had a purple patch playing at CB with Lucas Neil. Those Games Vs Man.U. Chelsea, Arsenal, Aided and Abetted by the Donovan infusion was Moyeses High tide Mark.

Moyes now is as low as a low tide at Southport, somewhere on the far horizon.

I forget the game, but one look at him strutting like Van Den Hauwe, but actually shitting-out of tackles was enough to put me off.

If Moyes can replace & make a profit, I wouldn't shed a tear.

If he does go, that leaves only Jagielka and Distin...t here would have to be someone come in to replace him as a squad member. Even with 3 centre halves, it's just not enough... you need 2 players for each position in my opinion.

I would seriously worry if we only had 2 recognized centre halves in the squad. I dread the games as it is at the moment ? never mind knowing that Hibbert or Nevillle will be deputising.

Not sure we'll make a profit although transfer fees a generally over inflated in January. We need enough to guarantee being able to reinvest in an adequate replacement.

Said on another post already but sell him and his £70k wages for £6-8m and then pick up Nedum Onuha on £40k for £3.5m.

Better, younger player IMO with less wages and a transfer profit. Solid business.

I think I would go along with trying to sell Bily and Johnny if we can and try and pick a couple of players up if possible. But easier said than done.

Well, it is, as the ed says, maybe a makeup. However, Johnny's been pretty poor this season and looks uninterested, so I say if they come for him at £6-8m then we should hand bite. Might be the opportunity to get young Duffy stepping up onto the bench and into the shop window.

I like Heitinga, but he doesn't get enough game time Now that Felli has signed his contract we need to raise some money to sign a striker and a winger. Bily and JH are the obvous choices.

Bily COULD be a decent player for most attacking minded teams, but I don't think he's ever gonna make it for us. So, sell him.

I do however rate Heitinga, as a CB I believe he's better than Jag. If we don't make money of him he should stay. We don't have many options in defence, and yobo is clearly not wanted.

I agree with #8 Jon Ferguson when it comes to the lack of time on the field, playing match every week is vital to a player like Heitinga. But selling him would (probably) mean we would buy another defender. And they usually cost more than 5 mill pounds.

So. Sell the Kosack, keep the Orange.
