The Rumour Mill keeps churning even though all signs point to David Moyes again having no money to spend in this month's transfer window.

The latest names linked with a move to Goodison are 20 year-old AEK Athens defender, Kostas Manolas, and 19 year-old Dutch striking prospect Luc Castaignos who is also wanted by Wigan, apparently.

You can bet your last pound that the Everton board will come up with some money for a defender... mention the word 'striker' and the reply is "We're skint!"

I have seen Luc Castaignos play for Inter a couple of times. He is very skilful second striker who drops off deep. Good at playing little passes into the box and has a decent shot on him. He is really rated at Inter and is touted as one the the players who could fill the vacancy if Sneijder is sold. We would be lucky to get this lad and chances are he will go to another Italian club for the season rather than come to us.

We would be lucky to even be able to purchase flight tickets for Castaignos to come to Lennon airport. Even if he was travelling low budget and staying at Moyesie`s house to save money.

Hmmm, look out for posts asking if anyone can make a trip from Milano to Liverpool by private car.

If Luc is 19, that is a good sign that in 5 years he might get a game as a "promising youngster".
