The agent of Egyptian striker Mohamed 'Gedo' Nagy claims Everton (along with six other Premier League clubs) have expressed an interest in his client.

Gedo, 27, is currently on the books of Al-Ahly in his homeland, but he is being strongly linked with a move to Europe and Menzo Messaoudi, director of Gedo's UK representatives Premier Pro, claims he has been in contact with West Brom, Swansea, Wigan, Everton, Blackburn, Norwich and Wolves.

"Gedo is a fantastic lad. Honest, hardworking and is a top professional," he told Sky Sports.

"His goalscoring record speaks for itself and his experience and sheer ability will benefit the right club.

"We are in talks with a few clubs at the moment, and hopefully we can bring an exciting talent to the Premier League.

"I am confident he will have a bigger impact than Amr Zaki did during his time at Wigan."

Gedo boasts an impressive record of 11 goals in 18 international outings and was also the top scorer at the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

Phil that statement feels a bit like Tony Blair's "Education, Education, Education"

On another note does anyone know where Vellios is hiding? Moyes says that the players did everything he asked of them on Wed night, so I can only presume he asked Saha to sit on his arse for 60% of the time, lie on his back for 35% of the time and track back for the other 5%!

With the strike-force we've got, I'd be willing to take a risk on virtually anybody, at the moment.

I've even dusted off my boots in case Davey rings and asks me to get down this weekend!
