Everton linked with Kalou move

After Arsenal dropped their interest in the Ivorian forward, Everton are now being linked with a move for Chelsea's Salomon Kalou.

The forward is out of contract in the summer and The Times suggest that Andre Villas-Boas would be prepared to let Kalou go this month if a suitable offer is received. They report that Everton could make a move but correctly cite wages as a huge obstacle.

Kalou is on a reported £70,000 a week at Stamford Bridge and would probably need to take a pay cut if he was interested in a switch to Goodison Park.

So basically we would be asking him to come to a non Champions League side take a huge pay cut. Hmmm

Add to that if he looks at our recent history we seem to resemble a grave yard for strikers I don't think he will be coming.

Fingers crossed though as I would love to see this one come off. We all need a bit of a pick me up.

It would be a great signing but we would have to get someone off the books to balance this. I would try and offload Saha or Cahill as they will be big earners... but who would want Saha?

I like Kalou, I just think him coming to us is a long shot. He could probalby still have his choose of a few bigger teams, who are playing champions league football.

God I hope this is not true - Kalou is absolutely gash when he plays for a good side, so imagine how bad he'd be with no service and the crowd on his back.

I reckon this is made up. Someone was overheard saying Moyes does have a clue, not a Kalou.
