The Echo is now claiming that QPR are now more likely to land Nedum Onouha from Manchester City, despite Everton's rumoured interest in signing the £4M defender.

Fucking gutted.
Even Moyes's twattingly tiresome approach to football matches couldn't have stopped a side with Baines, Onuoha, Drenthe, and Donovan getting joy down the flanks.
Never mind, with Barkley and Vellios due to play again in about 3 years time we can always rely on youth... and Phil Neville.

Absolutely the kind of player we should be getting back to signing, been there to be had for a good while.
The fact he's gone to QPR shows the position we are in. Leaving the reasons aside, cash ownership, debt, fact remains that the slide continues. This is another piece in the jigsaw of us falling down the league. We are now looking down as teams like Stoke and Newcastle progress, Spurs long ago stopped worrying about us. Another couple of years and are gonna be in relegation bother.
If he's gone cos of Mark Hughes, London SWP and all that then ok. But this fee is a pittance in Prem terms. If we were scratching around, trying to do a deal or were looking at a loan type thing first then, fuck it, Moyes is going to have to bite the bullet and sell a big player. It's over for this squad.

Gavin - It wont be £2.5 by the end though will it. £2.5 will be a basic fee plus add on's would imagine sell on fee also. Would end up being around 5-6m. EFC cant commit to this fee, even though he is a top player.
