Kenwyne Jones has reportedly been linked with a move from Stoke City to Everton this month.

The Echo cite unspecified media reports for the link to a player who was a rumoured target of Liverpool's this time last year.

Jones, who has been playing second fiddle to Peter Crouch at the Britannia Stadium recently, is valued around £5m.

Fear not, Moyes would soon have him charging up hill and down dale running at the left and right chanels then racing back to defend corners and there's always a few jobs in the mid field he would be doing.
Not too sure how he is also expected to score goals, perhaps Cahill, Beattie, AJ and the Yak could advise on that one.

Worked with him at one of his former clubs. He's a good forward and certainly capable of finding the net. Contrary to popular opinion he is actually a very pleasant and humble chap.

I think you're right Mark, although I've never done any work with S'oton. He's quick, strong, aggressive and can score. He can only be ~ 27 and could be a very good player for us, IMHO. Not that I think we're even looking at him - he's not free!

Mark... he would be a very good addition to the team and would give an outlet for Jagielka's Brazilian-style passing.
I can't see him being a Moyes style player and if he costs £5m then someone must go the other way.

Potentially a cracking player.

Main problem seems to be personality or attitude. Seems to suffer from Rodewells "nice chap" syndrome. Either that or he just doesnt have the desire. Or both.

That or he has a smoke before matches.

Shame though as he has the potential to be a frightening striker. Tough one, there will always be manager who will think they can entice it out of him.

I think it was Steve Bruce who claimed that if this lad was any more relaxed on the pitch he'd be lying down.

He's not lazy, just chilled. Really chilled. It can look like laziness, but it's not. It's just the way they roll in the Caribbean.

I can just imagine Moyes reaction, when on his first day of training, Kenwyne sits down mid-way through a practice game and starts sipping on a can of Lilt. Moyes screaming at him to get up and track back and KJ just telling him to relax and enjoy the totally tropical taste.

Clearly talented, and as others have suggested - "a real handful on his day", but about as far away from being a Moyes type player than you would possibly ever come accross in the world.

One of those players who annoy you bevause they clearly have ability but cant produce it all the time. Better than our current strikeforce who produce it NONE of the time! And by strikeforce I mean Saha!

Not doing it at Stoke with wingers, pace and a get in the box at all costs gameplan.

Can't see the Moyes one shot on goal every 3 games plan being of great help to him.

Of course the 5 million is pound sterling not bottle tops so.....

Two years ago he played at Goodison for Sunderland, hit the corner flag with a shot and the Everton fans sang, 'Rafa, Rafa, sign him up!' A minute later he showed again how shit he was (is?) and the Sunderland fans sang the same song - absolutely hilarious.
And now he's not good enough for Stoke! WTF!
