Everton eyeing young full back

According to TalkSport, Everton are supposedly one of the clubs on the trail of one of the hottest prospects in Italian football — Acharaf Laazar from Serie B side Verase.

The Moroccan youngster, 20, has lived in Italy since he was a child and will be entitled to an Italian passport this summer. He has been converted from a winger to a full-back and has been earning rave reviews since the switch of position.

Everton are likely to face competition for Laazar's signature, however, with Arsenal also understood to be interested, along with a host of clubs across Europe, including Milan and La Liga outfit Real Mallorca.

His agent Ali Barat, from LYD Sports, told TalkSport: ?There's been a lot of interest from plenty of clubs from around Europe. He's very similar to Gareth Bale in terms of his pace and athleticism. I think he will be a big player in the Premier League very soon.?

Well it's just another teaser isn't it? We all know deep down that there's no way we are buying in unless there are outgoing players ? is that what is being hinted at here? With the said, 'unrest' being outlined in the Fellaini call for more players/cash?

We need to sign some players, yes; no-brainer! But it won't happen; here's hoping though!

What would be the point if we did sign him? He'd just be sent down in the lift in the reserve mine and left to work down there, toiling away for evermore till the sacred old sages of Cahill, Neville and the 'Dahli Llama' Osman go to the 'Great spirit' in the sky... [aka the Championship].

The position is right to give Moyes a lob on but he really needs to remember creativity and strikers win games not another bleeding defender....yawn

A good right back that likes to get forward would be a really good signing for us and make us better going forward as it would then be impossible to put all the focus on stopping our left side.

We still need to get someone to play in front of them though.

I can see a player who will generate a fee moving on this summer and Pienaar and Donovan signing.

Stephen, please stop raising my expectations - I've become accustomed to a summer of frustration and disappointment.

A few out and a couple of loans in.

Would love to see those two players though. I think Pienaar is the more likely, although a lot depends on when 'arry leaves for England, and also Moyes' comments recently on Goals on Sunday, about Spurs being 'difficult to deal with' doesn't bode well.

I fear another summer like last year, unless we can offload someone quickly and hope Moyes gets a fair share of the proceeds.

I think(hope) Jagielka moves on for £7-8m and I can see Cahill coming off the wage bill too.

That should be enough to see us make it happen. Normally I'd be against us getting two 30yr old players but the Jag is 30 and Cahill's 33-34 i think, so not a terrible move.

A more likely scenario is Cahill plays on for another two years and Duffy goes out on loan with Moyes trying to fill the gaps with loans.

I seem to think Bainsey snuffed him out at Goodison and he chopped and changed from one side to the other without any success!

Let's hope he's better than that!

Stephen Kenny 178 a good right back is needed so why are we being linked to a left sided player? We have probably the prems best left back and 2 good players in reserve. Maybe Moyes is thinking of letting Baines go?
