Tranmere interested in James Wallace

Sky Sports understands Tranmere Rovers are lining up a move for Everton youngster James Wallace. The 20-year-old midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Prenton Park after impressing coaching staff. Manager Ronnie Moore has seen enough of the player to want to bring him to the Birkenhead club on a permanent basis.

However, the Tranmere hierarchy will have to negotiate a deal with their Merseyside neighbours if they wish to sign Wallace. The Fazakerley-born youngster is a product of the Toffees youth system and has previously spent time on loan at Bury, Stockport and Shrewsbury. He has also represented England at Under-19 and Under-20 level.

Let the lad go I say, I know a few Tranmere fans who have nothing but praise for the lad. Maybe not enough to force himself into our first team, but let him work his way up at the lower leagues instead of rotting in our reserves.
