Plan B: City pair Milner and Johnson

In a ridiculous made-up story from the Daily Star, David Moyes has devised a 'stunning plan B' if the unthinkable happens and he loses both Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines this summer.

Moyes would love to immediately invest his unwanted windfall on Manchester City and England team-mates James Milner and Adam Johnson.

Milner would be a welcome addition to his midfield with his ability to push forward and grab vital goals. But his value has increased since joining City from Aston Villa in a £26m deal back in 2010, which could be a problem for the Merseyside club.

And it will take around £16m to prise Johnson away from the Etihad, with Liverpool showing huge interest in City's left-footed star.

Exactly Keith. Milner is hard working but a very limited player. Not worth anywhere near 26m.

PLan B will be nobody in because we missed the transfer deadline and will have to wait until the new manager decides who he wants to bring in on a free.

Well not really no, still the same player who left Villa just plays less often and scores less goals, not to mention he's older. Where the gutter press get their stories from, then state bollocks like that fact is beyond farcical! Like Moyes would spunk 40mill plus (according to the stories' valuations) on 2 players. Also no story of what lb we would buy to replace Baines! Sloppy journalism at best, at worst total unashamed lying to sell papers (I wonder which)
