Everton eyeing Castaignos and Lukaku

David Moyes is after Inter Milan's young forward Luc Castaignos according to the unreliable talkSPORT and his chances of landing the 19-year-old have got better now that Feyenoord have dropped out of the race to sign him.

The Italian club would apparently prefer to sell him outright rather than loan him.

Meanwhile, the Blues continue to eye a potential loan move for Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku according to the even more unreliable Caught Offside site. Also 19, the giant Belgian striker is also wanted by Aston Villa and West Ham according to the report.

West Ham have apparently been told by Inter that they can have him for £6m or loan him for £1.6m, although the Italians would prefer that he stay in Serie A if he is only going to go out on loan.

I remember having these two as a potent strikeforce in a not-to-dsitant Football Manager game. After three years Everton had won the Champions League.

Yes, both Lukaku and Luc are rated high, but the statistics in this game is very accurate.
Everton uses a program in this game to collect stats on players.

However, both Lukaku and Luc are not playing first team football and that could destroy their talent if they do not play.
I feel very optimistic on both these two, but we will only afford Lukaku in my view.

All the transfer chat seem to avoid Pienaar for some reason, he has to be the first permanent signing before anything else.
I hope Moyes is keeping his focus on him first and foremost.
If not then we will struggle, wingers are our biggest weak link right now.
We have no creative sparks at all with this squad, Coleman and Osman are not good enough, and Gueye is too young and lacks polish.

I predict this season will rise or fall depending on what wingers we have.
Last season we had Drenthe and Pienaar and they both gave us what we needed, now they are gone and we are left with holes that needs filling.

Feyenoord said that Inter were trying to sell him for more than they bought him for which I believe was ?3m. Not sure Moyes would fancy spending upwards of £3m on a youngster who has only scored a few goals in Holland a season or two back. However could be a longshot worth taking.

Moyes does not often go in for loaning from Premiership clubs (pienaar aside) and especially not if there's little chance of that player staying as would probably be the case with Lukaku.

I'm guessing therefore that both of these are non-starters...

One player I wouldn't mind Mohamed Diame is off to West Ham. It's set in concrete taht yet again we will be the lowest spenders in the premier league with some Championship sides outspending us. It's madness, finishing in top 10 every year, over 30k attendances yet we alwsy have didley squat to spend. If Moyes had any ambition he would have resigned by now. Christ to think many clapped Kenwrights mush on the screen!

How Lukaku's dream move has soured. Once courted by Barca, Madrid and Chelsea. Now West Ham and VIlla are after him. Where did it all go wrong!
