Thanks, Ken! Having been abandoned by the TV gods today, we all envied your eyewitness position.

The Everton radio guys kept commenting on how quiet Goodison was today. Did you have the same reaction?

Hey Ken was it really necessary to over excite my festive mood by mentioning a communist. Stirred up the old taste buds it did and for a moment I was back among ancient pals in the 'Abbey'.

Ah well, I will have to make do with a XXXX at the bar of 'Ye olde Rose' with its fake knight in shining armour in down town Bunbury WA. At times like this, after the 'lads' have had a good win, and there is no TV coverage, your reports and those of Paul and the ToffeeWeb crew are ever more looked forward to.

Happy new year to all of you.

Ken, thanks for the report and a happy new year to you and all Blues. Hopefully, it will bring long overdue silverware back to Goodison Park!

I made such a pig of myself Christmas week I'm off the beer for a couple of weeks. I'm barely eating any fat or salt or anything else. Please don't your enjoyment in my face Ken!

Your match report's much appreciated, as ever, Ken. Never really got the attraction of Brown & Bitter. Growing up in the Midlands, my preference was for a pint of 'mixed' : half mild, half bitter. Sadly, I'm now darn sarf & mild is rarely seen & when it is one fears it may come out the tap like gravy!
