Former Everton player Bobby Collins, who played for the Blues for seasons in the late 1950s and early 1960s, has passed away aged 82.

Nicknamed the "Little General", the 5' 4" inside right was tough-tackling and inspirational and it was a surprise when he was sold to Leeds United by Harry Catterick in 1962.

In his time at Goodison, Collins (pictured right as a Leeds player with ex-teammate, Brian Labone) scored 48 goals in 147 appearances in all competitions.
