Everton Academy on BBC Breakfast

Not showing up for me here on BBC iPlayer....

Has anyone uploaded it to YouTube?

I saw this. It centered on helping the mental aspects that can become overbearing for young footballers. It didn't say what these were exactly. But each PL club has been appointed a mental health care professional who also runs classes for the youth.

Hopefully they will also be on hand to help the kids who get booted out of their profession. Not only have their dreams been taken away, but more tangibly at that age, their sense of purpose gets taken away as well.

Many people have to be twice their age before they have any understanding of what they want to be so it must be traumatic at 16-20

There's no footage here, but its all in the text.

This is on BBC News 24 right now!

There is a super article on the BBC site covering Everton's support of Mental Health issues, my Mrs put the link on her Facebook re Mental Health not Everton. I commented how proud I am to be an Evertonian and the great work Everton in the Community do.

It's a shame this wasn't featured on the main bit of TW, showing once again what a great club we are.
