Arrived at the Park End turnstiles about 10 minutes before kick off on Thursday night, only to discover that my season ticket card would not work. I was instructed by the turnstile operator to go to the box office 'to sort it out'. On leaving the turnstile, I discovered crowds of fans arguing with stewards about their season tickets not working and being told to go to the box office.

Having paid for my season ticket - why do I need to walk round to the box office, with only 10 minutes to go before kick off, to 'sort out' their technical glitches ? Surely it is their responsibility to send somebody to the box office to sort it out. And why in this day and age does the turnstile operator have no way of communicating with the box office?

How can it be sensible to send hundreds of fans round the stadium to queue up at the box office 10 minutes before kick off - when we already paid for our seats!?

Fortunately, the stewards outside saw common sense and told the turnstile operators to override the system and let people in, but the club really needs to look at this problem and think about better customer service.
