Could use Man Utd dropping some points. They look ominously well positioned for top 4 now despite not playing that well.

Charlie Nicholas on soccer Saturday doing RS v Stoke match. He thinks Stoke could well win this one!

Not the greatest set of results for us going into tomorrow's game, but we're still in 9th. Perhaps there is something in this business of having to catch up with the rest that contributes to the Europa Sunday match hangover... but hopefully that will be neautralized as both sides were involved, and it should be a 'normal' televised Sunday tea-time encounter.

Michael, teams that are enjoying their football and winning games don't seem to get tired. I think we'll be well up for this game, and I can see us coming away with a 3-1 victory, despite the massive injury list.

Only highlight today was listening to the RS fan interviewed outside Mordor in the build up, having a right go at Brenda. They had to cut him off and when they returned to talk about other items, he still wouldn't shut up.
Watched their game, first half was dire, and they were playing it long to Lambert a lot. Fortunate to win, but when've we heard that before?
Newcastle revival comes to an end. We haven't won at WHL since 2008 or something. You feel Tottenham still aren't firing properly, hopefully that doesn't change tomorrow.

Hopefully last season's stupid decision to turn off and get beat by a fast-taken free kick from Walker tastes as bad now as it did last year.

Arsenal and Man Utd looking like main threats to those 3rd and 4th spots. Gonna have to put together some good runs to keep pace.
Tottenham are very beatable and certainly not as good as Wolfsburg in my opinion but it will be a tough game no doubt.

Maybe time for Barkley to shine tomorrow, though Merson reckons he needs Barry who feeds him the ball early.

Sounds like a few of our regulars (Baines, Coleman, Pienaar and even Barry) could be back tomorrow.

Colin #10, great news, but for me it's tempered by the worry as to whether they're actually fit, or fit enough to play? I feel we maybe needed to give McCarthy a rest for a few games, but the absence of any replacements and he has to play – now getting an enforced rest.

I sort of knew that – when Man City won at Southampton – despite us taking the lead at Spurs, we wouldn't win. Very rarely do both Manchester clubs and both Merseyside clubs all win their respective Premier League games on the same weekend.
I should have stopped watching at half-time as, according to the Echo, the last time Everton won a match in which they were 2-1 down at half-time was the infamous Wimbledon game in May 1994.
