Coming back from 2 down at Spurs and at Anfield??
I think we are extremely fortunate this season to be outside the bottom three.

I have no confidence left at all now after the other night's capitulation and Martinez's total failure to grasp PL defending basics or even want to. It would be very interesting after Martinez goes to hear whether the players can confirm how he destroyed Moyes's well-drilled defensive tactics this season as we all fear has happened and explains last season's possible anomaly.

This one though, takes the fucking biscuit, they are truly stark raving bonkers:
"There are a few things I don't get, firstly if you want to hurt the keeper then you drag a leg and clip him. Running at full pelt at an advancing keeper and not breaking stride isn't really what you are going to do because there is a pretty real danger of injuring yourself, either damaging your metatarsals or twisting your ankle.
The second thing is the reaction of the United players yards from the incident, they simply don't react until De Gea does and even then don't exactly come steaming in as players do when an opponent has done one of their team mates.
For me it was a trial by TV where the slow mo's turn an innocuous challenge into a premeditated stamp, without the slightest proof of whether their was intent their or not."

You'd think they wouldn't be too concerned with next year being their year and everything. Or was that last year, or this year, or come to think of it, it maybe the year after that....

They're a family of reds and he'd been at Anfield earlier in the afternoon.
Unlike many of 'them', he was very realistic about their game, said they'd deserved nothing and Gerrard deserved everything he got - no ifs or buts.
What really surprised me though was his attitude to actually going to the game, he first told me he was close to 'jippin' it'.
I was surprised and when I asked him why, he sounded like a blue having a pop - "Well first, it's murder trying to get hold of a ticket through the normal channels, the place is full of woolybacks and Norgwegians, you're listening to nob-head comments all through the game. The place is chocker with football tourists who know fuck-all, they do me head in."
He then wistfully (but seriously) said "If some sort of team was set up, maybe by a couple of local ex-players and it was called..um..Real Liverpool or..something, with a ground that held about 4000, I'd follow them"
He then thought about what he'd said and laughed "Mind you, if that did happen and they got to the conference or whatever, bet the place would soon be full of fucking German's and Norwegians."
If he does knock it on the head, he'll be the third red I know who will have packed in for those reasons.
Whatever stops blues going to the game, I don't think this type of thing is going to be a worry, not for a while anyway.

I could never sell tickets myself for more than what they were worth but I suppose there is supply and demand.

Actually that makes me wonder how long the tourists will stick around if things continue as they are.
Even though we've done nothing particularly special in recent years, with fuck-all we've still managed to finish above them a few times and when we haven't, more often than not, we've been right behind them (which means either we've done okay for a team with no money or they've pissed a fortune away).
Plus are their 'supporters' in Tokyo, Thailand, Jibrovia, Ollianstan, (wherever) prepared to wait another 23 year without a PL title?
