Firstly a massive congratulations to our girls for getting so far in the cup with limited resources. They have been given the opportunity to play the game a Goodison and what better way to spend a bank holiday Sunday than a game at the old lady Goodison Park?
I hope that secretly someone at the club regularly looks at articles on here to gain some idea of how us supporters feel. My point for this that I think that this game at Goodison should be a spectacle for the ladies. There should be a big a crowd. We should get out there and give them our support and cheer them onto Wembley.
How can the club help do that? I think they should not make this a revenue-making exercise. I think free access for all season ticket holders and free access for under-16s whether a season ticket holder or not would make for a bumper crowd.
If they start to charge even a fiver a ticket I honestly think it will put people off with families as they'll use that money on a bank holiday towards something else. It mounts up if you have a few children in the family.
So come on Everton make it worthwhile for us to come and cheer the Blues on. If you need to gauge the numbers, have us collect tickets based on our season ticket and desire to come and issue the kids ones on-demand too. You can then sum your catering levels and make some revenue there.
Lastly .... Good luck to Everton Ladies .. You deserve this game a Goodison. I'll be there with my two kids.
