Callum Connolly scored twice for England U18s against the Netherlands this evening in a 3-1 win in which fellow Evertonians Jon-Joe Kenny and Ryan Ledson also featured.

Meanwhile, Gethin Jones turned out for Wales U21s in their 2-2 draw with Finland and Luke Garbutt played the full 90 minutes of England U21s' 1-0 win over Lithuania.

Callum Connolly? Can't say I've heard too much about him so far. Another strong player in the U18 group.

Just when I thought we might have a new young hotshot striker... turns out he's a left back!

New to me too, 1st year scholar and still only 16 – 17 in 2 weeks. That's impressive getting a start a year young. No hurry for him with Garbutt looking good in that position too.

A mate of mine who goes to all Gig Lane matches went to watch, he obviously supports Bury and only looked at the EFC players to keep me informed. He said Callum Connolly had a blinder and was the best player on the pitch. Got to be a good one for the future!!!
