What a player he never was, had one good game, and that beloved and cherished FM. I thought we should (having money to burn) engage his services (?) from Spurs of the Moment.

Funny reading the DM comments. A lot if them are on the lines of 'must have great passion for the game to play at this level'. Probably the only reason why no-one has picked him up yet as he's probably asking for a ridiculous wage package at the age of 34.

Did we pursue him for like 3 years. or did it just feel that way? OFM definitely had a stiffy for him.

Could never see whatever it was he saw in him. I think in his time here he had a couple of decent games. Being average was usually a good game for him.

I still expect Ever Banega and Riquelme in January.

Matt, add Moutinho and Manny Fernandes to those 2 and you have one deadly mid-field:....;-)

Good luck to the guy. He obviously enjoys playing the game, he has just been fortunate to earn a lot of cash doing so. Maybe David ’fallen out of love with the game’ Bentley should take a leaf out of Davies’s book.

Andrew 5. ThatÂ’s a funny middle name for David Bentley.
