He was a huge stand-out in that side. Tall and strong and dominated the defences with a powerful strike. He had a real turn of pace when he put his head down. He reminded me of what a younger Lukaku would have been like. Very very similar in style and appearance.
It would be fantastic to see him kick on. I think he had close to a year out with injury as he disappeared off any team sheet but seems back with a vengeance!
Not saying a certainty at all but one to watch...

We've had strong academy results for a few years now and, while that's nice to see, the real aim is of course to produce individuals for the first time.
Browning is the only player who has come through the academy for a while (Galloway was bought). Perhaps you might include Garbutt. It would be good to see the likes of Henen, Kenny, Ledson etc make impacts on the first team soon.

The weird and exciting thing about the youth team is never really knowing who will make it. Rooney might have been nailed on but Hibbert got his break and took it whereas his teammate Peter Clarke couldn't. The same kind of situation is occurring with Browning and Pennington, both I think have the potential to be regulars but whether or not they get the break is anyone's guess.

Yes Sam, very few make the main squad and loan moves where they receive good coaching and do not sit on the bench are essential.
Easier said than done, according to Stubbsy and I guess Joe Royle and Unsy are on the phone every day. Ledson in particular, has been begging for a move all season. Ever since his mate Jones told him how great it was.
Pleased to see Mustafi, Wallace and Forshaw doing so well even though they're no longer with us. Not sure about the other lads but expect Long to eventually make the grade. He's under the right coach at Burnley.

Worth looking at for Walsh's spectacular strike and a good finish from Brewster.
