Jelavic goes to China

Former Everton striker Nikica Jelavic has completed a £4m move from West Ham to Chinese second division side Beijing Renhe.

The Croatian, who spent two years at Goodison Park after arriving from Rangers in 2012, has only been at Upton Park since the start of the current season but has found playing time severely limited under his compatriot, Slaven Bilic.

Beijing Renhe currently play in China League One, that country's second tier but have used their considerable resources to draft Jelavic in for £1m more than the Hammers paid Hull City for him and he will reportedly pick up £3m a year for three years.

Not too bad for the first couple of months, wheels soon fell off, good poacher on his day, good luck.

Nice deal for the Hammers that one, only a year on his contract and sold for a profit? Wonder if any Chinese teams fancy taking Kone. You never know...
