Crystal Palace trip re-arranged

Everton's visit to Crystal Palace has been rescheduled for 13th April with an 8pm kick-off.

The game was originally scheduled for the weekend of the FA Cup semi-final but, with both teams in the last four of that competition, it has had to be brought forward.

It adds another fixture to the Blues' schedule before their trip to Wembley on 23rd April – Roberto Martinez's side will play Palace, Southampton and Liverpool in the 10 days prior to the cup semi.

Coincidentally, West Ham and Manchester United will play their FA Cup Quarter Final replay on the 13th with the winner facing Everton in the last four.

April is going to be an expensive month for those Evertonians who travel home and away.

So 13th April will spell the end of Palace's poor run of results...

Looks like things are conspiring against us again?

How is this a conspiracy – all the semi finalists have pretty much the same schedule.

It's a consequence of doing well in a cup competition – something we all crave. Don't we?

Anybody remember if tickets are checked at turnstiles by anybody at Wembley? I get a concessionary ticket as an old codger ST holder but want my lad to use it. Don't want him to risk getting stopped on entry.

We might as well rotate in the league – that ship has sailed! It's all on the cup now.

April 3 away to Manchester United.

April 9 away to Watford

April 13 away to Crystal Palace

April 16 home to Southampton

April 20 away to Liverpool

April 23... WEMBLEY

Jesus, that really is a period that could either make or break us.

Brent 4, as far as I can remember, no-one checks at the turnstiles, mate, it's a barcode scanner like the ones at Goodison now so once your here, the click your through. And to be honest, it's that busy all the stewards are doing is trying to make sure people aren't bunking. But I seen a few do that!

Brent. I think if you buy online, you may be able to select a full price ticket, even if you are registered as a concession ticket holder. Hope so anyway, as I am in the same boat.

In order to unjam the fixture list, can't the FA just announce the April 13th game will be the FA Cup final. We can play it at CP or Wembley since road games suit us better anyway. West Ham and Watford can play for third.

Jim, I've actually seen that done in other sports, obviously both teams would be in the final though.

Brent – you'll be fine, or rather your lad will. I've been to Wembley recently (not for the blues) and they scan you in but no system or steward will make the connection the ticket is being used by a somewhat younger man.

If we reach the final will you be so generous?
