Sunderland game to be shown live

Following yesterday's results, the match has taken on vital significance for the relegation battle between the Black Cats, Newcastle United and Norwich City.
A win for Sunderland over the Toffees would secure their safety in the Premier League and condemn the Magpies and Canaries to relegation to the Championship.
Sky's coverage begins at 7pm on Sky Sports 1 with kick-off at 7:45pm.

May have a flutter on Defoe to score a brace for a bit of interest in the game.

I've no desire go see Newcastle relegated to the league that we will be in inside 12 month's if Martinez is still here.
So Wednesday is on telly is it?
Another embarrassment of a night where we just make up the numbers while our opponents have something to celebrate.
Great to support such a proud passionate Everton team isn't it?

They owe us fans big time and two full-blooded displays should be offered up in the final games. No more 'roll over and die' displays on Sky please.

Sunderland, fighting for their lives, will beat us. Absolutely no desire to see Everton as long as this clown is in charge.

It should cheer up Newcastle and Norwich that such a team in an phenomenal incredible moment will take on their relegation rivals.

Koeman ticks all the boxes and is yet to agree a new contract with Southampton who are essentially a provincial selling club, albeit very well run. Surely has to be the main target.
34 Posted 08/05/2016 at 14:50:18
Playing football for a living is a privelage few of us get to enjoy and whatever the situation with our clueless manager, you play for the fans, the badge and the men next to you on the pitch.
Lots of speculation about our next manager, whoever this may be, this squad needs a massive overhaul.
The over the hill's, don't want to be here's, and lazy don't give a fuck's have no place at this club, and until they are ALL gone, we cant start building for the future.

37 Posted 08/05/2016 at 15:15:33
I would like to see Koeman take over.
However, would Sammy Lee come with him?
39 Posted 08/05/2016 at 15:18:27
Player of the year awards the next night. I cannot believe that he will be allowed to go that.
40 Posted 08/05/2016 at 15:28:40
Never assume it makes an ass/u/me.
Sunderland away after yesterday is a dead certain home win, which will relegate Newcastle and Norwich.
I bet Sam can't believe his luck, getting Eveton at home to stay up!

NB There is an 'I' in 'Side'.

Havn't been in management for 13 yrs!
Guess old habits die hard.
Apologies😥

Unfortunately you can. Whether the team should is another matter. Whilst I would love, just love (in the spirit of KK) Newcastle to go down, the team owes it the fans (ours and others) to make a fightof it. I can only see this happening if Martinez is sacked tomorrow or we play some U21 players. Neither is likely, so get ready to roll (over).
49 Posted 08/05/2016 at 18:45:04
Forget this bullshit about wanting Newcastle to go down, I couldn't give a monkey's toss, what I would love to see is Everton actually become unpredictable for just ONCE and turn up there at a no doubt rocking Stadium of Light and spoil the party.
This is Everton Football Club but we are just basically everyone's doormat , the football doctor that cures all your woes, be it strikers out of form needing a goal or a team bereft of confidence needing a win..
For God's sake you shower of pansies get on that pitch on Wednesday night and wear the blue shirt with a bit of heart and passion..

No idea, but I noticed when Southampton got the winner against Liverpool this season at St Mary's, little fat Sam shot about 10 feet in the air out of his seat and was practically cartwheeling up the line.
None of that 'no celebrating' malarky for Sammy
In fact such was his joy, I couldn't help but wonder if he was deliberately rubbing it in.

I saw it so often over many years in business management and the same thing is clearly the biggest problem for our team now. They look lost, downhearted and dispirited, obviously have no faith or belief in the manager and therefore, as long as Martinez remains in charge, we will never see the best from any of our players. He's totally lost their spirit and their will to win, so please don't be too critics of the players. Would you work your socks off if you hated going in to work every day, knowing just what crap you were going to be facing day after day after day?
If Martinez goes I have a feeling we'd suddenly see a whole new spirit and optimism spreading through the playing staff, if only Kenwright and his acolytes have the sense to see what's happening before their eyes. Roberto Martinez has simply destroyed everything that was good in our team and the time has come for him to pay the price for his abject failure and for doing a first class demolition job on the careers of so many players who look like they've lost the will to live, never mind the will to win.

As for Wednesday, I fear a 3rd embarrassment on worldwide TV in 3 weeks following the Derby and Leicester. 3½ if you include the Wembley semi-final!!
Finally, those asking for "the 6%" to make themselves known are probably wasting their time. It's like asking who voted for Cameron!!! No-one ever admits that but the smug bastard is PM!!! I'll change the question slightly in asking DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYBODY WHO DOESN'T WANT MARTINEZ OUT??
Not a single Blue I know wants him anywhere near the club. Some have taken a while to come round to this way of thinking but each to a man (and woman) are now convinced it's time for change.

60 Posted 09/05/2016 at 02:22:29
It is further embarrassment in the UK though.
61 Posted 09/05/2016 at 03:04:52
That Sunderland happen to be playing Everton is irrelevant it just happens to be a game that effects relegation. I don't think Sky are putting it on to try and embarrass Everton but are hoping they will put on an exiting performance.
Don't forget that your TV has an off button for a purpose.

"Would I lie to you?" (yes you would Roberto and Bill and frequently do)
"6 out of 100 Evertonians" (Don't know what they are talking about)
"Money Pit" (paying to watch this garbage)
"School of Hard Sums" (watching these idiots fail at the school of science)
"Extreme Fishing" (for positives after yet another humiliating defeat)
"Never mind the buzzcocks" (if I have to hear the word 'phenomenal' one more time....)
"Scrapheap challenge" (our fight against relegation next year with Roberto in charge)
"The last man on Earth" (who thinks Martinez is an acceptable manager, yes you Billy boy)
"The joke amotive" (our club)
"World's most stupid criminals" (our squad and their criminal lack of effort)
That's all I can think of, don't really watch TV like.

Wonder if the cameras will stick around for the lap of 'honour' following that game...
76 Posted 10/05/2016 at 16:10:03
Don't criticise the players too much????
Those lazy fuckers have been on holiday for a couple of months now, only showing up for one and a half cup games.
I understand what you are saying, but an employee turning into a lazy, useless and pointless fucker is tantamount to gross negligence.
I almost feel sorry for Bobby sometimes, what with the players and their revolt (same happened with Hodgson and those ego fuckers across the park)
I said almost, because he is probably 60/70% liable for what's going on with the players shouldering the rest.
Oh and the fans are about 10% at fault if you believe that knob in charge.
Ohhh the anger and the swearing, it's true, it is cathartic
