McGeady secures Deepdale loan

Aiden McGeady is the second player to go out on loan today, with an agreement reached with Preston North End for the Irish international.

The 30-year-old has been frozen out at Goodison Park and has been looking for a move away but has been unable to secure a permanent deal.

McGeady, who still has a little under two years left on his contract, spent part of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and is now heading back to the Championship for the season with Preston.

The confirmation comes a few hours after Shani Tarashaj joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan and at the same time as Academy defender James Yates's five-month loan switch to Crewe.

Leandro Rodriguez, who was apparently told he could leave the club, remains on the books, as does Oumar Niasse.

Bit harsh, Gordon, why do you think he has a poor attitude? Maybe not the greatest player, but I've not noted any poor attitude, just not up to scratch.

He's a useless clown who is fat and never fit, that's generally considered a bad attitude for a footballer.

He's not the worst player that's ever played for Everton. He scored a blinder against Leicester.

I just found him to over do it with the ball too much a bit like Del Boy!

Great news, it's just like a new signing!

He should ever have come in the first place, but apparently Roberto thought the sun shone out of his arse, and where's he now? I arrest m'case, m'lud.

Very quiet transfer window closure, as far as we are concerned, but I think we dodged a bullet with Moussa Sissoko, for £30M I don't think he would have been the answer.

Glad McGeady has moved on, he tried but just isn't up to standard. Russian window closes on 6th September so I assume Niasse will still be gone.

I think if you compare our team now vs last season, we have got stronger this window:

2015-16
Howard; Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines; McCarthy, Barry; Deulofeu, Barkley, Mirallas; Lukaku. Subs: Robles, Funes Mori, Oviedo, Besic, Cleverley, Lennon, Niasse.

2016-17
Stekelenburg; Coleman, Jagielka, Williams, Baines; Gana Gueye, Barry; Bolasie, Barkley, Mirallas; Lukaku. Subs: Robles, Funes Mori, Holgate, Besic, Lennon, Deulofeu, Valencia.

That's an improvement surely AND for near-enough a zero nett spend.

Just can't fully scrape this fat turd off our shoe. We will still be paying a large portion of his wages and I doubt he will be a success.

Expect to see his Ford Mustang riding into Merseyside again soon.

McGeady proved to me what an imbecile Martinez was. He pulled off a bit of a trick with Shaun Maloney when he took him to Wigan, revitalised his career and he became a cup winner.

Then he basically tries to repeat the same trick with McGeady... short, fat winger, lost his way a bit, Gaelic background, etc etc. Thing is, he was a completely different fucking person!

It doesn't work like that Roberto, you knob! You should have just signed Maloney again, you divvy.
