I suspect both communities would not get too upset and see a goodwill message for what it is and recognise that even if we have different beliefs and none, the thing that brings us together is being blue (apols to Labour voters).
In that spirit, Happy Day!
14 Posted 25/12/2017 at 13:59:26
Please just accept the happiness of the day without trying to be so clever with this PC bollocks.
15 Posted 25/12/2017 at 14:03:03
And Michael Penley, that's a cracker you've pulled.
16 Posted 25/12/2017 at 14:16:17
It's the crap joke out of a Christmas cracker. Muslims and all other faiths would be embarrassed by it. PC draws attention to a divide most people don't see unless it's pointed out.
All the best to all Blues everywhere.

Can we just not celebrate it for what it really is a money-making, over-indulgent, ale-swigging, sprout-eating, flatulence-making, fake-goods-buying time of goodwill to all men and as many women as possible?
Just remember, you who work with photocopiers, when you go back that they are probably full of germs after the rest of the office have had their bare ring pieces on it please wash your hands.
Other than that, a Very Merry Xmas to Evertonians everywhere.

"Dear ToffeeWeb,
I was delighted to see your recent 'Happy Ramadan' greeting and it hooked me into giving the rest of your site a good scan.
It was there I read about how Everton recently had no shots on target at home, saw a picture of Robert Elstone smirking like he'd just removed Scarlet Johansson from his face, and rubbed my eyes in disbelief as some random bloke said he believes every Evertonian should name their firstborn Billy 'The Kid' Kenwright. Now, I'm sat here stuffing my face with a big bag of beef crisps and a swear jar full to the brim.
Fuck you, ToffeeWeb, for rewinding my Ramadan. I'll have to start all over again now. Stick to 'Merry Christmas' next time, you complete pack of meffs."

May the world be blessed with peace in 2018 and Everton blessed with a trophy or two.
Special wishes to Michael and Lyndon for producing and maintaining what is without argument one of the best websites on the net be it sport or otherwise.
Best wishes to all.
20 Posted 25/12/2017 at 15:14:33
Peace and goodwill, a time for both remembering the past, and looking to the future, with better times ahead for "Our Everton" hopefully!
21 Posted 25/12/2017 at 15:27:28
Your efforts are greatly appreciated lads.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
22 Posted 25/12/2017 at 15:29:53
Micheal #9 well done, you've won a prize for the most stupid comment these last 12 months. I think we all bend over backwards quite enough for other denominations in the UK.
While I am not a practicing Christian, it's a pity that the Bible as an example of how to conduct yourself is not celebrated more at Christmas time. It's a wonderful event for children, but its been hijacked and become a huge commercial event.
Whatever, the thread was not meant to be political.
