It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of my uncle who was a true Evertonian and a gentleman. Miggy Clark died on Saturday 20 January aged 80.

He had been going to Goodison Park non-stop since the resumption of the Football League after the 2nd World War. He took me to my first match in 1966, Everton vs West Brom which we won 5-4. Foolishly I thought that every game from then on would be as exciting!!

He was instrumental in the creation of The Boston Evertonians as far back as the 1950s as we have family over there and he was a regular visitor. He helped to spread the blue gospel at every opportunity.

His favourite player was Alan Ball but special a mention must go to Alex Young. He was one of life's true nice guys and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

His funeral will be held at the crematorium on Priory Road in the shadow of The Old Lady on Friday 9 February at 2pm. All Blues are welcome to attend.
