Selected by Atlanta United in the second round, English midfielder Oliver Shannon honoured his mother with an emotional speech at last week's MLS SuperDraft.

Good luck to the kid. Gonna experience some shock down there from what he's used to.

Atlanta had a great first season. 48k per attendance. Two crowds of over 70k supporters.

They're doing a great job there.
