You don’t win anything with kids? Tell that to RB Leipzig

"The player in the Bundesliga with the most goals per minute played is (grosse Uberraschung!) Robert Lewandowski. But there in second place is Ademola Lookman, an English kid who is considered surplus to requirements at a mid-table Premier League side," writes Rod Liddle.

Not that he wasn't good enough for Everton, just not a fit in a team with a lumbering dinosaur leading it.

Come back, Mola, we want to see what you can do!

Not good enough for the media darling Fat Sam Allardyce, you numpty! Not us: we wanted him in the team before Bolasie every time. We know a good un when we see one and Lookman is that and more.

Criticise Fat Sam all you want – and we want you to, believe me. But not us the supporters – we actually know what we are talking about and we don't go around screwing the game we love for millions to sit in our bank accounts, unlike some.

We will welcome Lookman back with open adoring arms.

Did someone say that the Leipzig manager who took Lookman and played him is available?

Mr Moshiri, Mr Moshiri...

And they look to be buying New York Redbulls young starlet, Tyler Adams.

The article says Leipzig are hopeful that if Everton were daft enough to loan him, they may be daft enough to sell him. Let's just hope Mr Brands has more about him than the recently departed Chuckle Brothers.

I have said this on a number of other threads: I feel this kid was the most naturally talented player in our squad this past season.

I was in the back of a taxi last year and the driver started chatting to me about football and told me he was previously a minor scout at Crystal Palace (which could have well-been bullshit as I've had another driver tell me he was mates with Seamus Coleman). Either way, he said Lookman was a standout player whenever he saw him play and Palace along with lots of other clubs were scouting him before and after he joined Charlton.

It will be a real disappointment if he doesn't come back and play for us next season in my view.

While he showed he had talent with us, he could also be a liability at times, giving the ball away in a Barkley fashion, and he drifted in and out of games, sometimes looking like he lacked the physical power necessary for the Premier League.

He's had a handful of good cameo appearances over there – Leipzig never played him for a full match – but it would be easy to see him as some kind of saviour.

I'm hopeful that he's learned a lot in Germany, and that a decent coach (like Silva) can complete his education and turn him from a prospect to a contender. Definitely worth keeping him at Goodison Park next season.
