Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have all been credited with serious interest in the 21-year-old but Inter Milan were regarded as the favourites to sign him.
Sky Sports say, however, that their sources indicate the Blues are in pole position to sign him and that assertion is backed by L'Equipe in France, although they say no formal offer has been lodged. Sportitalia journalist Giulia Stronati was more cautious on Twitter, suggesting that Malcom is "waiting for Inter" who have, thus far, only proposed an in initial loan deal.
The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, assert that there is no interest from Everton in the player and, therefore, no contact has been made.
Bordeaux chairman Stephane Martin is supposedly meeting with Everton representatives on Thursday to discuss the deal further. A five-year contract and an £80,000 pay package is reportedly on offer to Malcom who joined the French club two years ago.
