United's Rojo among Mina alternatives being eyed

Marcos Rojo has emerged as a transfer target for Everton as Marcel Brands and Marco Silva draw up a shortlist of options should Yerry Mina elect not to join the Blues this summer.

Mina has been the subject of reported interest from Everton ever since his impressive exploits at the World Cup this summer and it has been claimed that a £27m has been lodged, one Barcelona are likely to accept.

The Colombian appears to have been hedging, however, amid supposed interest from Manchester United.

No overtures from Old Trafford have been confirmed, with Jose Mourinho more heavily linked with Leicester's Harry Maguire and Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld.

Regardless, should Mina elect not to join Everton, the Toffees would need to look elsewhere and following rumours that they could look at taking Phil Jones on loan, The Telegraph, The Mirror and the Manchester Evening News report that Rojo is an option for £30m.

Burnley's Ben Mee and Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson are also reported targets on the list.
