Tosun return to Besiktas mooted

| Friday, 17 May 2019 7comments  |  Jump to last
Besiktas are keen on taking their former striker Cenk Tosun back from Everton according to reports in Turkey.

Tosun has largely failed to convince he is worthy of a first-choice spot at Goodison Park and his recent return to watch Besiktas in action has sparked speculation that he could go back to his former club.

Takvim and Sporx both claim that Besiktas want Tosun back but only on loan while the Blues would prefer a permanent deal.

Nothing against the lad, but should never have been bought in the first place, and yet again another example of a Mini with a Rolls-Royce price. Not his fault I know, but he was never going to cut it in the Premier League.

We'll be lucky to get half the fee back on a good day, but half is better than nought, and it will be another one off the gravy train.

I like the lad and think there is a good sniffer there but needs a big target man to feed off. Anything more been heard of the rumour that he was signed as Mr Moshiri was impressed by a Champions League goal he scored?

Alan, it's a pity you couldn't graft Tosun's (potential) scoring ability with DCL's mobility, hold up play and athleticism, we would have a half decent striker on our hands. I say potential in brackets because he does know where the goal is, but is often too slow, or wants it on a plate.

We need a replacement first - otherwise it's just Niasse and DCL as 'proper' centre-fowards.

Niasse. I forgot all about him. He’s like a new signing!

We don't want to loan out senior players.
Loans are to help develop, improve and gain experience so they return better players to fight for a starting spot or decide they are not wanted.

We need a permanent sale. Besiktas don't need to assess him and we shouldn't be loaning him.

Championship and other clubs would surely want him for under £10m. He can finnish and will score. Wages could be a problem so we may need to pay him off.

Sell him.

Take a loss.

Lets move on
