A low-scoring weekend back after the International break sees 8 games played on the Saturday, with Liverpool ending their Premier League winning streak after being pegged back to only a draw at Old Trafford, thanks to not one but two key VAR decisions going against them.

I've come around on the issue of VAR. I didn't realise how fucking hilarious it could be.

Parliament to be recalled early tomorrow due to those VAR decisions.

VAR official subbed at half time. Carragher to take his place.

Rob, if you saw Carragher sat there, you would not doubt your eyes!

Liverpool fans calling for a referendum. Well, they'll lose that one.

As long as it's tomorrow, Brent, even though both decisions were correct.

Origi looked like he'd been fouled, but on closer inspection why was he holding his opposite ankle, before he rolled on the ground? And Mane took the lace out the ball, because it was the only way he could have controlled the ball, with a defender so tight to him!

Good point, Tony.

Never fails, does it? Liverpool always get out of jail late. Still, a great result for a weakened Man Utd side and for Man City.

I dare say Klopp will have his usual moan.

The decision on the Mane goal was taken weeks ago, after Man. City had a goal ruled out v Spurs because of the merest touch by a City player, every hand ball decision has to be the same as that one.

Mind you the Mane penalty decision versus Leicester City didn't match the much more obvious foul on Del Boy for Watford v Spurs yesterday so it's all about the opinion of one man's view.

I was hoping var would be better than this by now. Del Boy yesterday obvious penalty. Mina an obvious goal. Disturbing. But hopeful it will improve.

If decisions continued to be made similar to Del Boys. VAR will never be accepted, hopefully to die a death.

I think as football fans we all share the RS pain over VAR 😂😂😂, so unjust - although on the other hand it was side splittingly funny to watch and great to see Klopp kicking off at Jon Moss on the line, and he didn't shut up moaning all game. Strange how his whole manner changes when things aren't going well. Where was the smiley, oh so funny Klopp today? Same teeth, different fizzog. But the foul on Origi was in the Utd half, they still had to make about 70 yards to score so it was all to do with shite defending and nothing to do with VAR. Funny on so many levels

So now that Klopp's seen it work against them, don't mention the VAR

No-one mentioning the fact that Origi got caught on his left calf, yet went down holding his right ankle? We should use VAR to retrospectively book him for simulation and then retrospectively bam him for trying to deceive an official.

The official line from the PMGOL (I think) is that there was not sufficient contact to overrule the ref's decision.

Andy, it just needs time for it to be perfected.

Although, I didn't celebrate one of the goals against Wolves as I was waiting for VAR to overrule it. Thankfully they didn't and having seen the replay, I don't know what I was thinking! but that thing of being uncertain as to whether or not you've scored is not good. But I've celebrated many a goal only for a late flag, or a dodgy whistle. The Perluigi Collina decision for Ferguson's Villarreal goal, for example.

Disgraceful football by Sheffield Utd, what do you call that type of football? Rope a dope? Personally I like to call it “coward's football”. No ambition whatsoever. I honestly despise this type of football.

I sincerely hope they go down

Back in the bottom six!

Silva has his work cut out to salvage some precious points, especially away from home, despite Saturday's excellent result.

A week is a long time in football.

Brent#29, Lol,so true...jeez,the pain that man caused us all is still felt today,I still believe we could've beaten the red mancs in the final too!.

Steve#30, I read about it last night on the Beeb's red button footy page, didn't hear a fucking peep about it this morning on the Jim White show neither,a day after the discussion of r.s media bias...spooky eh?.

The sooner the top six fuck off to their greedy little league...the better, sick of all of 'em.
