In the Tuesday evening matches involving English sides, Jose Mourinho takes charge of his first Champions League game as Tottenham boss with the visit of Olympiakos while Manchester City host Shakhtar Donetsk.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid and PSG meet in a titanic clash at the Bernabeu and Juventus play Atletico Madrid.

On Wednesday, Klopp's mob play Napoli at Anfield and Chelsea are in Valencia while Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund clash at the Nou Camp.

Spurs pull one back on the stroke of half-time. A fresh air clearance by a defender fell to Dele Alli about three yards out who smashed it home. A really soft goal to concede.

Spurs level, great quick thinking caught Olympiacos napping and Keane slotted home.

Olympiacos player got booked for winning the ball in the first half giving Spurs a very dangerous free kick, but it was a cleaner tackle than Erickson's but Spurs get a throw in break away and score.

It's a good game now though, definitely helped with less defensive midfielders on the pitch!

I had to turn over after Var got involved at Madrid. Yet another nail in the coffin of the beautiful game.

I'm trying to watch Everton u21s and Spurs at the same time. Missing the action in both. I see Kostas Fortounis (#7 for Olympiacos and their best player) is out for the season with an ACL.

I've heard that Martin Atkinson was seen buying loads of six inch nails today Rob, fucking VAR.

Spurs 3-2 up now. Mourinho will take the credit for that 26th minute substitution when he hauled Dier off for Eriksson.

4-2 now. Kane with his second.

Did anybody see the game between Galatasaray and Bruges earlier on? Galatasaray were leading 1-0 going into added time in the second half. Bruges equalised and had the goalscorer sent off for taking his shirt off and therefore got a second yellow. Also another Bruges player received a second yellow for smashing a corner flag to pieces during the goal celebration.

Steve, take credit surely as he should. Criticism could be on how he set the team up initially but he attempted to fix it and it worked. Bold substitution at that time of the game.

Astonishing game.

And our old friend Gana was a pivotal figure in that huge first-half VAR dustup.

Indeed Peter. There was no messing around. Decisive action from Mourinho, he got the goal back, got them in and made tactical tweaks at half time and then they were much the better team. Though to be fair, Olympiacos scored against the run of play.

Disclaimer: I was watching two games at once (EFC u21 as well) so may have not been paying Spurs full attention! And Yes the u21s game was that dull and we were that bad.

The official website said it was never a 4-0 scoreline and we didn't play that badly, Steve. Mind I suppose they would say that.

In the meantime still nothing on the first team pages since Saturday afternoon.

Rob we were thumped. We had hardly any chances. I remember a couple for Niasse and Evans looked to have grazed the outside of the post with a freekick. There was one run, if you can call it that, from Anthony Gordon. Baningime ran around and got kicked a few times and went off injured. Big Tyler came on and did nothing and got hauled off. It was not good at all. It was men against boys.

The Greeks were much the better team Steve, but made a fatal mistake in the last minute of the first half, and once Spurs got the goal they really settled down.

Mourinho was constantly telling them to call down, and once they did, you could see a very good team, that pretty much has a bit of everything?

Joey Barton would have loved getting one over on Unsworth tonight, because it's just the way football is. I know not everyone would agree but he would have felt under a lot of pressure after the way he slaughtered Unsworth a couple of years ago, so he's obviously made sure his team have not let him down tonight.

Did anyone catch the Bayern Munich game yesterday, or see the highlights?

Robert Lewandowski put on a clinic, yet again. 4 2nd-half goals in 15 minutes, subbed out at 77' which prompted a Crvena Zvezda fansite to say that it was "the best thing to happen in the 2nd half" lol.

That gives him 10 goals in 5 CL matches so far, and 27 goals in all competitive matches (20) on the year.

If there's a better pure goal scorer or striker in the world right now, I'm all ears!
