Sligo Rovers have a proud and rich history that is unbroken in over 90 years.

The club’s history is filled with a steely determination to survive all the challenges thrown its way. Today, they have been thrown another with the club’s survival under threat. But they will not lie down.

The club is asking supporters at home abroad to help in any way they can continue the Sligo Rovers story and, thanks for the links that go back to the day the Toffees signed Seamus Coleman, Evertonians have been chipping in to raise vital funds towards the goal of £60,000, the fee they paid for the Irish international.

If you’d like to add a donation of you own, they will be given directly to Sligo Rovers FC to help with the cost of running all football teams until the end of the season. The club has suffered huge losses due to the COVID-19 Lockdown.

You can donate at their GoFundMe page.

Sounds like an opportunity to start a "junior" club and Bill probably still has the Bury money down the back of the sofa.
