Everton U18s 4 - 1 Blackburn Rovers U18s
A pair of fine goals by Tom Cannon just before half time, added to the opening strike by Bobby Carrol to give Everton U18s full control of the game against Blackburn Rovers at Finch Farm by the half-time whistle.
Sean McAllister came on as a second-half sub and sealed things before the visitors notched a consolation goal right at the death.

Im really impressed with the work of Paul Tait and the other coaches, they lost their prolific goalscoring trio from last season ( Simms, Phillips, Adeydoyin) and have brought through a very young set of 16 year old 1st years, aided by only a few experienced 2nd years like Carroll, Hughes, Quirk and Hosie today.
At this level playing against teams with more older 2nd year Scholars can make a difference in terms of their physique and experience, so these young kids are doing very well. Its the youngest u18s team weve had for some years, and they are holding their own near the top of the league.

1. J. Barrett
2 J. Hosie
5 D. Thompson
3 D. Lowe
4 H. Hagan
8 B. Carroll
6 R. Hughes
10 L. Warrington
7 S. Quirk
11 L. Dobbin
9 T. Cannon
Onyango appears to be with the u23s now. Dobbin is playing for the u18s but gets on the u23 bench. Both are only 16 and both look special. Cannon has scored a load of goals too: 10 goals in 7 games!
Phil, were you there today?
