Second and smiling – Everton’s ‘Hollywood’ appointment paying off
Almost one year to the day, Everton's owner Farhad Moshiri can reflect with satisfaction on Carlo Ancelotti's first 12 months after a 2-1 win over Arsenal put the Toffees an outstanding 2nd in the table.
It capped a superb week for Ancelotti and Everton after wins against Chelsea and now Arsenal at Goodison Park, flanking a midweek victory at Leicester City.

Also refreshing beyond words is the fact that for once it looks like all the signings we made this summer have worked out. They all hit the ground running. When could we last say that? Have we ever?
Well... another huge week coming up. Then we might slag Carlo off again. Reverting back to playing on the front foot could be difficult without Allan and Digne. I mean, James looks up and what options will he have if Godfrey is too deep? We shall see on Wednesday

Dont be disappointed if were not still second in April and try to remember where we were same time last year.

The key is retaining the top 3 if we dont get at least into Europe next season, and the Europa Cup mightnt suffice ! Lose them and its like starting again !
