FA Youth Cup is Suspended

The Football Association has confirmed its decision to temporarily suspend the 2020-21 FA Youth Cup following discussions with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport.

All matches in the FA Youth Cup are now suspended with immediate effect until further notice.

The FA intends to resume the competition once the UK Government's current national Covid-19 lockdown concludes and it is deemed safer for clubs to travel.

Everton Under-18s had been due to face Wigan Athletic at Goodison Park in the 3rd Round of the competition on Wednesday evening.

The fixture will be rearranged when the competition is able to resume and a new date and kick-off time will be announced on evertonfc.com.

Michael, just noticed on the OS that the U17s beat Blackburn yesterday, 16 January, with goals from Kouyate and Whitaker. I missed that one completely, thought the games had been postponed.

Hi Phill, thanks... I was on to it a little later on – please look at the new thread as there's a question for you abut Jagne.
