Sunderland U18s 0 - 1 Everton

Everton U18s are away to Sunderland for Saturday's midday fixture in the U18 Premier League.

Iman Jagne, who was brought last season to play for the U23s, is again reduced to being a sub on the bench for the U18s.

Everton took the lead through Charlie Whitaker after 12 minutes.

And, in the style of Ancelotti's first team, the youngsters defend their lead through until the end to leave Wearside with all 3 points.

Everton U18s: Leban, Mallon, KLowey, Hagan [Y:70'], Tierney, Kristensen, McAllister [Y:77'], Butterfield (72'Metcalfe [Y:87']), Warrington (90+1' Jagne), Whitaker, Cannon (78'Garcia).
Subs not Used: Stewart, Qiuntyne.

Hope Lewis Warrington makes the grade. He used to come to my lads u12 team training with his older brother. They were a cracking team but he looked really good at even 2 years younger which is a big difference at that age.

Mike, I thought last season Lewis Warrington looked like a decent, pretty lively player, then I think he got injured. He's got a pro contract which will give him at least one season at U23s level, but he really hasn't kicked on this year.

As well as Onyango, in his age group there is Sean McAllister and the year below are three midfielders making their mark: Isaac Price, Luke Butterfield and Charlie Whitaker, plus Iman Jagne who we signed.

It's going to be a tough task for Warrington to get regular game time at U23s.
