Alex Iwobi played for Nigeria against Lesotho in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying after all following a negative test for the coronavirus.
The Everton forward was forced to sit out against Benin over the weekend after returning a positive result for COVID-19 but with the Nigeria camp believing it was a false positive, he was re-tested and came back negative.
Iwobi, who was asymptomatic, was in the line-up that kicked off against Lesotho today, a match that the Super Eagles won 3-0 thanks to goals by Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu, but he was substituted with around a quarter-of-an-hour to go.

He might not be who we want on the right of midfield/attack, but he is who we have got.
