Everton U18s 3 - 4 Sunderland U18s

Everton U18s kicked off their Under-18 Premier League match against Sunderland at Finch Farm at 12:30 on Saturday afternoon.

6th placed Everton U18s play bottom-placed Sunderland U18s at home but The Blues went behind when a penalty kick given against Thompson was converted after 18 minutes and that's how it was at half-time.

Sunderland went further ahead after the break, scoring 2 goals before the hour-mark, Everton finally responding with a goal from Sean Mcallister. But the task got even harder when Sunderland scored their 4th on 69 minutes.

With a mountain to climb, Everton made the scoreline more respectable with goals from Metcalfe then McAllister to get back within touching distance of the visitors. But it was not to be and the Blues now sink to the place with one game remaining against Newcastle next week.

Everton U18s: Leban, Mallon, Kristensen, Campbell, Thompson (46' Higgins), McAllister, Metcalfe, Quintyne, Baker (60' Hagan), Jagne (79' Ebere), Lawrence.
Subs: Stewart, Safa Manafa.
