Lössl targeted by Inter Miami
MLS side Inter Miami and Marseille in France are reportedly holding talks with Jonas Lössl about a possible move the United States this month. | Tuesday, 05 January 2021The Danish keeper originally signed for Everton as a free agent in May 2019 after his contract expired at Huddersfield Town.
He re-joined the Terriers on loan in January last year and returned to Everton after the disrupted 2019-20 season finished in July. It was assumed that with Joao Virginia signing a new contract that Lössl would be surplus to requirements at Goodison but he remained at the club after the closure of the summer transfer window.
Everton's deadline-day acquisition of Robin Olsen on loan from Roma and Carlo Ancelotti's stated desire to arrange a permanent deal for the Swede means that Lössl's future lies elsewhere and he could now end up in Miami.
The Miami Herald report that according to Tipsbladet Inter Miami and Marseille are in discussions with Lössi who is keen to get playing time ahead of the delayed European Championships.

Seemed decent enough back-up but it's clear Pickford needed stronger competition.
Good luck to him.

A goalkeeper with Premier League experience, who although Huddersfield, were relegated had pulled off some good saves, and wasn't solely to blame for their relegation. Roll on a few months from then, he was never given a game, and his sub's bench appearances were very limited too. He then goes back to Huddersfield on loan, and was gainfully employed. Returns to find he was third or fourth string, as Olsen had been acquired.
So, if he does move on, it will be on a free presumably, so how has it benefited us?

Otherwise it's hard to see how playing in Miami will help raise his profile for Denmark.
