What nerves where on show from Spurs, starting on the bench, and carried on to the field, Son and Kane had poor games and enough chances to wrap it up.
Then the play acting and stupid fouls from the Spurs players, not to mention that terrific shot from Barnes that hit the post, but it all ended well for us Blues but if it had been any other game I would have wanted Burnley to win because of the antics out of the Spurs players.
Come on Brighton give less to worry about later in the day.

As much as I hate Newcastle, I hope they can at least avoid defeat tonight against Arsenal. Only an Arsenal win will put them back above Spurs. However, a draw will keep them below Spurs, and surely Arsenal will know their Champions League dreams for next season will be gone, simply because Spurs play Norwich on Sunday.

There is no doubt what the atmosphere will be like but it will be tense and get worse the longer the game remains level.

Everton were disciplined for fielding a weakened side in 1966, I think it was an away game against Leicester City a 3-0 defeat. Liverpool fielded a weakened side against Wolves at Molineux, but because they won the game they escaped punishment.
I can't recall the exact date that the rule was abandoned, but I would agree with Mike that it's likely to be what I refer to as the modern era, and the introduction of squads.

He stood out for me in an FA Cup match at QPR years ago and I always wanted him to succeed at Everton.

First time I have seen Rangers this season and wasn't overly impressed, The right-back Tierney, looked good and they should have scored the last minute of extra time. Ramsey was too casual taking his penalty; mostly every other player struck the ball hard and mostly high into the corners.

It was a weird game. Considering the quality sides both have eliminated, I was surprised both looked pretty ordinary at best. I'm from Celtic roots but I'd have liked Rangers to win for the boost to Scottish football but I think Frankfurt marginally edged it.

I thought Rangers tired. The difference in standard of league they both play in showed. But that's harsh, Rangers gave a good showing.
The BBC journalist doing his job asking Pat Nevin how the Rangers fans will be feeling then talking about despite that at least the weather in Seville is beautiful.
Really? Aunty BBC and it's nicey nicey approach. If I'm a Rangers fan this morning, I'm devastated.
I'm cancelling my TV licence.
