Everton's ticket resale platform launches

Everton Season Ticket Members will be able to resell tickets for games they cannot attend during the 2021/22 season, with the Club’s own ticket resale platform launching today.

The facility has been created to assist Season Ticket Members if they are unable to attend matches.

Beginning with the visit of Burnley (Monday 13 September), Season Ticket Members can list their seats for any fixture they are unable to attend, with fans able to manage the process themselves from their online ticketing account. Full details of how Season Ticket Members can list will be available on the Club's ticketing platform from Monday, August 23.

Season Ticket Members will receive a pro-rata credit on their ticketing account for each ticket they list which is sold via the platform, with tickets then listed for sale on the website at the face value for the given fixture. If tickets listed for selected games are not sold, Season Ticket Members will not receive a pro-rata credit, but their ticket will remain available to them to use for the specified fixture. Official Members for the 2021/22 season will have priority windows ahead of each fixture to purchase tickets on the platform.

Credit earned by Season Ticket Members who utilise the system can be used for future ticket and Season Ticket purchases.

The new platform gives Season Ticket Members the flexibility to remove the ticket from sale if their plans or circumstances change. If a ticket is still unsold on the day of the game, the supporter will receive a reminder via text or email that their ticket is still valid if they wish to attend the fixture.

At launch, only adult tickets will be available for purchase on the re-sale platform. Season Ticket Members with concession Season Tickets can still list their tickets for sale, but anyone wishing to purchase tickets will only be able to purchase as an Adult. The functionality for purchasing concession tickets is expected to be introduced in the autumn/winter months of the 2021/22 season.

Revenue generated by the platform will be donated to Everton in the Community to enable the Club’s official charity to extend and enhance its life-changing and life-saving work across Merseyside and beyond.

The new service has been developed with vital input from the Club’s Fans’ Forum. The platform will provide a permanent solution for ticket resale at Goodison Park, with the Club continuing to work alongside fan groups to gather feedback in order to continue to develop and enhance the platform over the course of the season.

With the prospect of compulsory covid vaccination checks coming up, have the Club said anything about season ticket holders simply passing their ticket to a friend?

Will covid checks involve comparing the name on the ticket with that on the covid evidence of the person using it?

Martin - I asked the club that very question. They responded pretty quickly.
"If you want a family member of friend to use your seat, call the Fan Centre on 0151 556 1878 and we can print a ticket for them to collect"

Burnley. The tickets were there; Upper Bullens away section included.

Seat selected but before I could get my credit card details in, tickets gone. Sold out literally in minutes!!

Probably a good thing as I hadn't consulted Mrs Danny and that would have to be an over-night one with train timings.

So if I'm reading things right you don't actually receive any money if you sell your ticket.

I think you'll receive the pro-rata cost if your ticket is sold, however, if it isn't sold on to a third party, and even if you can't attend you won't receive any money.

Cant log in to the resell my tickets platform - just keeps returning to the launch article. Sadly waiting times to call the fan centre are still very long so saying 'just call...' isn't a viable option.

Barry#5.
The way I'm reading it Barry is that you receive "a credit" in your account so no actual cash received.
I think this may be a move to address the problem of the unscrupulous selling of seats for big games for profit by some season ticket holders.

Only a couple games went for over the ticket price. For visiting friends l could get tickets for around 60% of cost on stubhub. Being selfish l know.

Something must have happened to the website. I'm in for Burnley.

Guess I have a few weeks to work out the logistics of getting back to London and to explain myself. I'm in Berlin that weekend, landing back at Heathrow on the Sunday. I need to consider the timing when I break the news!

Having re-read it properly this time, you're correct, the monies will be returned to you via a credit on your Everton account which can then be exchanged for future season tickets or match tickets. Obviously, they want folks to be dissuaded from using the service unless absolutely necessary, which is understandable in case a poor run of form causes a huge number from being 'unable' to attend!?

How much notice will a seller get that his ticket has not been sold? I can see empty seats and no credit if the notice is not enough.

The system seems to be working fine if a bit clunky. Click on your name and customer number, then my tickets, then order history. You then see a heading ''resell my tickets '' and you're in.
