Everton have announced the signing of Patrick Nash, a 17-year-old goalkeeper previous with Reading's Academy.
The youngster was born in Aldershot and is named after Northern Irish goalkeeping legend Pat Jennings. He has no qualms about moving north and commented on the friendliness of everyone at the Everton Academy:
“I came up to Everton for a week in August [on trial] and was taken aback by the friendliness of the Club. I'm really pleased to be here now.”
