Everton U18s 2 - 2 Stoke City U18s

Everton U18s were finally back in action today, at home to Stoke City as the U18 Premier League resumed with a 2-2 draw.

Paul Tait's youngsters had not played for 5 weeks when they secured an excellent 3-0 win over Man Utd. Everton U18s sit in 8th place in the U8 Premier League (North), just 4 points behind 2nd.

Francis Okoronkwo put Everton ahead after 20 minutes with only his second goal since joining the club but the visitors levelled matters before the break.

Stoke took the lead in the second half but just 3 minutes later, Everton were awarded a penalty when Coughlan was fouled and Martin Serif made no mistake from the spot to secure the draw.

Seems that's a certain George Pickford listed as the goalkeeper.

Strange because George Pickford has been previously credited as a midfielder for the U15s and U16s at the Everton Academy.

Michael our usual confusion about youngsters, I thought he was a midfielder, but he’s now listed as a goalkeeper on the official site team list, and certainly no other goalkeeper on the bench.
Score ended 2-2, goals from Okoronkwo and a penalty from Sherif.
Roman Dixon ( Quintyne) signed a pro contract the other day so it seems certain that’s his surname now.

Check this out Michael, if you can, according to another report Sherif scored two for the U16’s before coming on to score the penalty for the U18’s, not sure if they meant both games were played today.
